A Millionaire is a persons whose total assets minus debts equals more than 1 million U.S. Dollars.  It is difficult to compare wealth numbers in different currencies and cultures.  But still people who are interested in money should keep their perspective.

In the U.S. there are approximately 6 million Millionaires.  That number is expected to increase to 16.9 million Millionairs by 2017 according to Credit Suisse.  (http://www.cnbc.com/id/49419220)

In the same report it is stated that 40,000 residents are worth more than $50 million.

The Financial Post has far more conservative estimates still shows Qatar as having the highest percentage of households that are Millionaires, 16.9% followed by Switzerland with 11.9%.

Despite economic slow downs the Millionaire population continues to grow around the world with Russia and India leading the way.  It is estimated that there will be 46 million Millionaires worldwide by 2017.

I urge you all to realize that there are millions and millions of poor people on this planet.  But by no means is that the entire story.  Wealth abundance and happiness still abound.  You and I have to decide what part of this life's existence do we want to be a part of?
