what are the educational requirements needed to become a doctor.

Most countries require a four year degree from undergraduate studies.  Then you go to medical school for 2 to 4 years followed by internship and finally residency for at least a year.  Then you may have to specialize in one discipline or another.

Its about 10 years of study depending on your country plus whether you work in a hospital or not.
