Is anyone aware of a hemp robe, apprently made for Dr Timothy Leary, which he wore at the Congressional Hearings on drug substances in 196?, which led to the Single Convention on Narcotic Substances (or whatever it was called). When I was given the robe, here in New Zealand, I was told by an American or Canadian guy called Ken (Kessey?) that it had belonged to Dr Timothy Leary and that he had worn it during his appearnces at the Hearings. He said it was called the "White Robe". I still have the robe and want to establish whether the story behind it is true or whether I should just toss it out as rubbish. I have had it tested, it is made out of hemp and the weave and weft identifies the material as probably having been produced in the States about 1950-65. Any information please?
