Too many children were dying in Saft el Sharkia, where, as in many rural villages in Egypt, expecting parents were unaware of the importance of getting checkups during pregnancy and giving birth in a medical facility. This documentary describes how the Communication for Healthy Living project increases residents "health competence" by reaching them at key points in their lives to encourage healthy behaviors under the theme "Your Health Is Your Wealth." CHL is funded by USAID and implemented by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs with Save the Children.
