My I add my two cents to what you are saying? You need calories to live. It is true that most people eat too many calories. The real approach to losing weight is to restrict calories. But you must also adjust the source of your calories from sugar and starches to protein.
Most people get the majority of their calories from carbohydrates. Vegetables are carbohydrates too. But its the fast burning carbohydrates found in sugar, starches and grains that cause the body to make fat. If you train the body to obtain carbohydrates from sugar it will cause you to seek sugar, starches and grains. However, if you substitute protein for fast burning carbohydrates the body will not crave the food associated with making fat such as sugar, pasta, potatoes, fructose, rice and grains.
Of course you have to make sure the body is absorbing the 90+ vitamins and minerals the body must have. This will lead to less eating, more efficient burning of fat and weight loss.
