I was diagmosed with this 25 years ago and it is still with me. But don't despair. I manage to control it most of the time with .25 aprazolam under the tongue, taken as needed. This is a benzodiazepam and many doctors say it's addictive and creates dependence. I think it is up to the patienjt to keep the dose low. I'm told I should try cognitive therapy. Maybe one day soon. I'm 85 and don't have too many days left, I suppose.

I hope your cousin is not taking SSRI's.  If your cousin has a stress problem he should do the following:

1. Drink plenty of clean fresh water (at least 2 liters per day not from a plastic bottle)

2. Deep belly breathing through the nose slowly several times per day

3. Stay away from manufactured and processed foods

4. Get 15 minutes of sunshine per day or if necessary use a sun lamp

5. Use Melatonin nightly before bed to sleep better

6. Use vitamin B complex

7. Vitamin and minerals deficiencies can lead to stress.  Be sure he is getting the 90+ vitamins and minerals as found in the Beyond Tangy Tangerine from Youngevity I offer here

8. Meditate 15 minutes per day do this by listening to his breath going in and out slowly

Let me know if you have more questions.
