Forehead and brow lift. Endoscopy shows progress in medicine.

In aesthetic surgery, it is among other things, also used in brow lift. This method allows avoiding incisions in the scalp since through minimal, up to 2cm long incisions (usually there are 4) and with the use of special light and fine instruments, the brow can be lifted. The rehabilitation is in this way shorter. The patient's forehead is bandaged for a few days. The first day after the operation it is customary for the patients to have a small tube inserted in the operating area through which blood and matter drain off (drainage). This prevents the swelling around the eyes from being too visible. The small tube is removed the next morning, therefore the patients usually stay overnight at our clinic.

With some patients there's a possibility of skin numbness on the forehead for some time (also for a few months).
In the lift of the middle part of the face (cheeks under the eyes that hang from the wrinkle that goes from the nose to the mouth) one more incision on each side in the mouth is cut, therefore the risk of an infection (oral bacteria) is increased. The patients receive special instructions for mouth washing before and after the procedure as well as adequate antibiotic protection. This operation also requires longer recovery period since discrete swellings may last up to one month.

In case of baldness in men, the brows are lifted through small transverse creases in the forehead wrinkles, also with the endoscopic technique. The incisions are up to 2cm long (3 to 4 incisions).

These procedures can be performed in local or general anaesthesia. Laboratory preparation is necessary and prohibition of Aspirin and Andol at least 10 days prior to the surgery.

Resting is advised for a few days after the surgery but after approximately one week after the surgery, patients are capable of performing work duties that are physically not too difficult.
