Islam does not oppresses and despises women. Instead it protects them. For example, during solemnation, an oath has to be made by the husband, few of them are, "if I ever hit my wife for any reasons and she complains it to syariah(religious) officers and after investigation confirms of the husband's wrong doing...the wife shall have the right to divorce with him" also "Should I treated her unfairly and does not meet the criteria of a good husband and she complains it to syariah officer..then she has the right to divorce with him"

The actual requirement of marriage is actually both male and female must reach puberty in order to get married regardless of age. And there is nothing wrong with marrying up to 4 wives given that you MUST treat them equally in terms of financial, physical as well as mental. should you fail to comply with the condition, you are prohibited. It is better to have legitimate relationship with 4 wives than having 4 scandals and as far as I am concern most religion do not allow *** outside marriage.
