There is no such thing as laziness. There is a thing as people being incentivized to stop working for themselves.

If we in the West would just leave these poor people alone. But we are so greedy for their natural resources we will not rest until we have enslaved them all and taken all of their resources.

The poorest countries are the one that have the most natural resources. It is in our best interest that they stay poor, unmotivated and in a constant state of turmoil. Because God knows that those poor people would be our master if they could ever overcome their many challenges that we created for them.

If those poor people were ever allowed to rule they could do no worse than the smart people like Bill Gates and others are doing running everything. Maybe we would all be happy.
