I have started diarrhea with abdominal cramps and s bit of fever and nausea last Sunday, a week from today. I have been with diarrhea for 7 unstoppable days. I am on a liquid diet. My stools are greenish now. My doctor told me that it is probably salmonella. I am waiting for my stool results. I am waiting for the diarrhea to hopefully reduce in the coming days.
Are there any salmonella sufferers who might tell me how long diarrhea lasted in their case?
Salmonella poisoning can kill you. You might try using activated charcoal to get rid of the toxins in the gut. But at this late stage you will need to deal with the bacteria. Unfortunately, you will probably need an antibiotic which will not only kill the salmonella but the good bacteria in your gut. After you get rid of the salmonella you need to repopulate the good bacteria to control the fungus or candida. Do this by using probiotics, fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kombucha, etc. You will need about 80 billion units per day.
