HELP! I need advice about what to do with California Salamanders

Hi, I live under the redwoods in Sonoma County. I left a bunch of tubs with junk for the dump in them in the fall. Today was dump-run day and I was draining all the water out of the tubs (and finding alot of things that I didn't realize were in them) a only a third way through and I have already found 2 Giant California salamanders, one Tiger salamander, and three regular (don't knoe name) 6 to 7 inch dark brown with white spots on their sides ( the kind I found a lot as a kid in Marin) They were all in seperate tubs and could have gotten out by crawling up the stuff that was in them. The water is rancid. Mostly from cloths, shoes and boxes filled with knick-nacs from the beginning of fall.

WHAT DO I DO WITH SO MANY SALAMANDERS? I live across the street from a tributary to the Russian River, but it is running to fast to put them in (and there are a lot of raccons, crawdads, steelhead, fox, etc... ) I read on Wik that they come down fron the hilllside to breed, we have lots of forset (and a very small creeek behind us) but I think that there are eggs or something very gelatinus that I have never seen before. I have seen frog eggs as a kid in the slou's in Corte Madera Park They were clear with a black dot in a long string hanging off of the reeds. This is not like that :} I water is discolored and filled with all kinds if yuk. but some of the cardboard in one(with the Giant CA) is covered with little gel stuff. I haven't been able to find pics of there larva to Identify it.Nor have I found a site that would (if possible)show me how to tell there ***.

And I still have at least ten more tubs to go thru... I don't want to drain any more water if I am destroying there offspring. BUT I HAVE TO DO A DUMP RUN! I am just following any site I can to get info, if this is an active blog I sure hope someone can help me as of what I should do, They are endagered, We have lived here 26 years and have only seen them 3 times before. In 1999 there was a 14 1/2 inch (yes we took pics next to a yardstick) Giant Calif sunning itself on Halloween. That one lives in an old grove redood stump in the yard, we can see when it digs its way up every feww years. And we did see dirt overthere last fall. He/she was busy this year.  Don't have time to speel check or edit, I have to go, but I really would like to hear feom someone, even if it is were else I can place this blog Thank you for you time
