For Christians Sunday is a day of relaxation, or prayers, for Jews it's Saturday, and for Muslims, it's call the Eid, which every week is Friday. Muslims don't fast on that day generally, so it's a day of going to prayer in Congregation. Muslims can fast two days of the week, including the Sabbath of the Jews, so Saturday and Sunday, or Friday and Saturday, are okay to fast. But they don't fast Saturday alone, unless they are making up a missed fast, then it's permissible.

The present calendar is a reformed Julian Calendar, formed by Julies Caesar in BC 46.

Seven-day week is the religious significance that was placed on the seventh day by ancient cultures, including the Babylonian and Jewish civilizations. But God has created the world millions of years before these civilization. Then how a man define either Friday / Saturday / Sunday is the 7^th day?
