I am facing problem to find out formula for,

Example: - A column contants some deferanct text like "abc123" someny times, "def456" somany times and so on, I need to  pick once in an other cell, but I could not fine the formula, I think it will work like SUMIF formula but I can not fine out, is any body can help me out of it? kindly contact me on "amin.sivany@yahoo.com".
