i like map reading and i hope all of you folks do. Now here is a problem that gives me headace.
when it comes to position finding, amethod called resection is used to find or pin point ones postion on the map by relating of the prominent features shown on the map to those on the ground that is by shooting a bearing to the prominent features on the ground and then finding the back bearing of the same feature on the map. Now if you are in an area wth no prominent feature around that is visible on the ground and shown on the map or a forested area were you can hardly see a prominent feature, how can one pin point his or her position on the map?
