The law decides how much a person needs to live on, so my question is... Is it therefore unlawful to take away an individual life-sustaining benefit if the authorities decide you have not fulfilled their requirements?
However, http://www.debate.org/welfare/ is an American site (my question is about the current UK Government's policies) which have none to little significance of any bearing on the question I posed.
I placed an advert on gumtree as i dont think the job centre or the agencies they use are ever going to help me find a job,ive had a few results already, david cameron is trying to make life more complicated & difficult for all us so called job seekers & cutting our benefits etc is his way of making us all look harder for work as you feel like a 2nd cl*** citizean stuck on benefits, hope you get something sorted, regard kev.
As a former employee of the then Department of Social Security, now Centrelink. Yes, the same law that sets out what a person should be paid if unemployed, has a long term illness or is handicapped either permanently or temporarily, also sets out the conditions which must be met to be entitled to that payment and the penalties to be applied if those conditions are not met. My suggestion is don`t get hold of a copy of the Act, even we the employees were never able to undestand it. The Government mde the law and p***ed it into existence, if you don`t like a part or parts, and are of voting age, contact your local federal Member and request a change. Please remeber that the money you recieve comes from the revenue from Taxpayers, as it is Public money being spent, the Governemnt has to have strict outlines on how that money is received.
I was made redundant before xmas, I was told that i would be expected to look for work 90 mins traveling time to and from work, I told them I car share with my wife, she starts wk at 6.30 am,we live in a village with no bus service until 8 am, so how can she get to wk,if i would be expected to travel for 90 mins to wk and start at 8 am myself and leaving wk at 5.30 pm then travel home for 90 mins the last bus home to our village is 5.45 pm,my wife would miss that last bus,so she would have to wait an hour and a half for me to get to pick her up. The government is a shambles, bring back people like enoch powel and guy forks that would be a start. I believe there should be a peoples parliment, get the country to vote for things,it could be done via a text as most people have phones. There would be plenty of jobs for english people if there wasnt the amount of immigrants,I have nothing against them its just a fact. English jobs for English people Mr Cameron ||||||
