THE ASSASSINATION OF JFK AND A RECENT DOCUMENTARY.

As it's approaching the 50th anniversary of the assassination, I recently watched an excellent Documentary called :

JFK, THE SMOKING GUN.  (2013)

I'd be interested in hearing what others thought of this Doco and if they believed it was accurate.

The Doco was compelling and made sense to me.  If George Hickey discharged his AR15 accidentally, why was it necessary to cover up the incident ?.  As I see it, as a Secret service Agent, Hickey was only doing his job protecting the President, with Oswald being the true villan.  It seems Kennedy was extremely unlucky to have been struck by someone employed to protect him. It's also quite possible he was already dead after the second shot, meaning Hickey was'nt responsible.

As devastating as the Neck injury was, would this alone have been enough to kill Kennedy ?.  What sort of damage could such a wound inflict ?.  Could the President have survived ?.  Does anyone know why Kennedy's Wife, crawled onto the Boot after the third shot was fired ?.  Why did the Secret Service man do the same ?.  What exactly is a 'Grassy Knoll' ?.

It seems strange there was'nt much on-site attention from the Media, with only a small number of people having Cameras.  All in all, there was'nt much actual Filmed footage of the Motorcade.   Why did Oswald want to kill Kennedy ?.  Why did Jack Ruby want to kill Oswald ?.  Here's hoping someone out there can enlighten me in this facinating subject.
