Because we travel a lot we have decided to give our much loved elderly cat to our daughter in England.... we live in Portugal, our tickets home cost us 80 euros.... why does it have to be SO expensive to take our lovely cat home, probably out of reach of others who want to do the same!!  The bill for this was £800+.... British Airways will only do this through a recommended Agency, their bill was only l35 euros... the rest for England!!  Don't you think this is a bit excessive.

Travelling back from America last July, one gentleman had a small Yorkshire terrier, on the plane with him, NOT in the hold, NOT in a cage... he carried it around the plane.  United Airways.... I asked a steward what the situation was, he told me if it was a service dog (Yorkshire terrier with red bows and a *** owner??) How do you explain this one?YMLS5

Hello, There is a possibility that that the owner of the Yorkshire, provided a letter from his doctor saying the dog was a service dog, say for his emotional health. I only say this, because I live in a senior complex (USA), that only allows dogs up to 30 pounds. Recently, a tenant moved in with a 60 pound dog. We inquired about the weight limit and were told the tenant had a letter from her doctor telling them if was a service dog, for emotional issues!
