Why people use wei-chat for hunting for one night stand

I am so confused about that? why people use we-chat for finding one night stand? i think we-chat is a good tool for learning second language or find more interesting people. If you want to learn Chinese in shanghai or any other cities in China, you can find them but why people do that?
