Azores Islands - you can get excellent rates from European countries. Check the airport schedules from your local airport then look on Sata.com for next day flight fares. Most flights will end in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel Island Azores. It is lovely but there are 9 islands in the archepelagio to visit so you will want to visit other islands...

The best way to see it is to spend at least 3-4 nights on each island. The least expensive way is flying to Sao Miguel from your point of origin, stay there a few days, then fly to Sao Jorge Island, spend time there take a boat to Pico, Faial and Graciosa from there.
