Most of us would be fired if we did not do our jobs in a timely manner but apparently this does not count for the legal system. This includes the courts, attorney's or anyone else connected to it. Attorney's want to charge you a ridiculous amount up front but then don't bother with you too much after their payed. The court system's complain about them being overwhelmed with cases but yet they will hear a case without any merit or from someone who should not have a legal leg to stand on to begin with, and they can keep people hanging till they can get to your case no matter that a child's life is at stake or that there is some people who are waiting on pins and needles waiting until  you can do your job.
