Does anyone know if there are any protection laws regarding agricultural reservoirs. A land developer has chosen to ignore planning regulations and set about constructing a builders yard on agricultural land and there is an on-going case to try and reverse the damage caused to the area. It now appears that a reservoir which was construct about 25 years ago to irrigate crops is being drained. I am wondering if after 25 years of natural wildlife habitation, and the reservoir being used for fishing is there anything against the developer doing this, we have already lost a great deal of wildlife population over the last 3 years which I am sure is due to the removal or re-siting of soil and changing the farm buildings to accommodate separate industrial units.
