as the potassium alum used as a water purifier, it works in petrol and diesel also.

petrol and diesel pollution is supposed to be controlled by potassium. if factories,refineries, and and autos o bide by specifications.

but in my country, we have high state of pollution from diesel motors due to negligible behavior.
