Hi, we bought a car from a reputable salesroom which are nationwide, we saw the paperwork which showed the milage to be 7114 on an 60 plate, we were given that paperwork and still have it.
When we picked up the car we were given paperwork for the same car with the same registration plate but later noticed that the car had 14,000 miles on the odometer. We have written to the company who wish to pay £140, this is not acceptable to us. My question is; have the company broken the contract under the unfair contract terms 1977 by selling us a car which is not as described, have the company commited a criminal offence by falsifying the milage on the paperwork. what would our rights be and what course of action should we take.
