have just recived an invoice from hospital for 2000 pounds,was taken ill at xmas went to the hospital they took my passport but NEVER asked for my ehic card,which i carry with me at all times,what can i donow have phoned and explained the above and given my ehic card number

Hi 

we are insured with EHICPlus and you have to have treatment on your EHIC they dont pay for private hospital treatment.

we were talking to a couple in Benidorm and they had a translation card that said they needed state hospital treatment so we got details from them and got one for Spain and one for Greece you can get one for any euro country we got it from EHTC-LTD.co.uk it was with us two days later its plastic and they send it in a double wallet to hold your EHIC card as well.
