Islam is the religion of peace. it comes the arabic word 'salam' which means peace.
it is peace with oneself, with others and with the creator; Allah.

What is  the meaning of islam?

1.     To submit/surrender

2.     Submission/commitment to God/ Attitude

3.     Religion of submission to god (insititution/tradition)

4.     Islamic culture/ civilization

“Deen”-Religion in the quran=ISLAM

“Muslim”-one who submits to God

In the Bible: John 14:16:  mentions Muhammad SAW “Paraclete” “parakletos”- “The Praised One”

570AD-Birth of Muhammad SAW

610-First Revelation

622-migration to madina

632-Death of Prophet

“miraj”-Journey to heaven

Prophet, changed the name when he established a society to “madina” which meant “the city”

He called the Madinan people, “helpers-ANSAR” and emigrants were called, “Muhajireenn
