I am executor of a friends estate; what infoormation must i provide to legatees

It depends whether they are pecuniary legatees or reiduary beneficiaries.

 

If they are residuary beneficiaries they are entitled to see the estate accounts and it would be prudent to keep them informed at all important stages throughout.

Pecuniary legatees should be provided with an extract of the will  (if there is one)  showing their entitlement.
