Ok, so how do you learn the best way to evaluate equipment including all those weight blocks, cover stocks and proper drilling? This is insanely complexfor a novice.

If your a novice and you wanted to learn the technical side of bowling get a certified coach. Bowling is a complex game when technicalities regarding equipments are the topic because you need to match= your game=oil pattern=equipment . On top of it you need to have a solid form and release.
