its the outward evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit or baptism of the Holy Spirit. A language with utterance from the Holy Spirit in or to help you praywhen you do not know how. Also helps to pray in tingues if you need built up. Read Jude 20 in the bible.

Tongue is the gift of the Holy spirit. That enable one to speak in different langueges, that the carnal minded man cannot understand. Those who speak in Tongue communicate with the Spirit or GOD Himself. The apostles spoke in different langueges by the aid of the Holy Spirit on pentecost in the book Acts also the household of Cornelius spoke in different languages.

Gift of tongues is the gift of the Holy Spirit, that is when Holy Ghost is taking control and praying to God on your

behalf , the language that devil does not understand.1Corinthans 14: 2 Those who speak in strange tongues do not speak to others but

to God because no one understands them. They are speaking secret truths by the power of the Spirit.

The believers saw the fire of the Holy Spirit coming upon each one of them. The same wayit filled the house. whosoever is filled with the Holy

Spirit speaks in toungues, even the house he/she is sitting has to be filled by the Holy Spirit and no charm or magic will be able to destroy the

person

May the Holy Ghost fire control our brains and minds Amen

Well, truthfully speaking, one would first have to ask the question: What is the purpose of speaking in tongues? In order to understand the gift. During the building of the tower of Babylon, each man was cursed with different tongues of language, so as to sepetate those that tried to infiltrate the kingom of heaven by the own doimgs. Now as Christ has promised upon his departure to send us a comforter, the holy spirit came in that upperroom as a final act of reconciling man back to himself, he sent the tongues of fire, a new language that only his chosen can speak and interpret. That why it is a gift from God and is a sign of his true believers.

I grew up an a church where that type of thing was pretty common. The same sounds were made by the same people every time they started praying. It was just expected like singing and praying. I later found out that one family practiced at home.I have been watching the same religions for over 60 years and see no difference in christians and sinners and see no reason at all for prayer.
